I'd love to be your buddy!

Vicki is an adorable Bichon who is about 3 years old.  She was brought into the Palmdale shelter as a stray in a hideous matted condition and terrified.  Once she was in our loving foster home with other well-socialized dogs, she quickly started to blossom.  She's still cautious at first with strangers but bonds quickly and deeply once a human has gained her trust.  She is affectionate and has a chill temperament but greets her trusted people with the classic Bichon Wave.  She gets along great with other dogs and will play enthusiastically with another playful dog.  Because she has a passive temperament, she will never challenge an alpha dog's authority.  Vicki would be best in a home with older kids. It quickly became clear that she had never been on a leash before.  While we have been working on getting her used to being on one, she gets spooked by noises on the street which is understandable since she was a stray. It would be best if she had access to a fenced yard and over time she will become more confident and used to being on leash.   She can be vocal with little grunts, whines and barks to get attention but is otherwise fairly quiet.  Vicki is a perfect, sweet, gentle princess who will endear herself to some lucky adopter.  She has all shots, is spayed and microchipped.  If interested in meeting her, please fill out the adoption application on our website bichonsandbuddies.com.
