Poppy is a sweet little toy poodle who's about 7 years old and weighs only 9 pounds.  This tiny princess must have been used as a breeder dog and then discarded :(  We pulled her from a Bakersfield shelter where she came in as a stray.  She's still decompressing, and as you can tell by the pics she's still a little depressed but is quickly realizing she's starting a new chapter in her life which will be much different than her past.  She's very affectionate and docile and gets along well with other dogs.  She's just getting used to walking on a leash outside and still gets a little spooked but is getting better.  It's heartbreaking to think what a life she had as a backyard breeder dog but makes it all the more rewarding to see how she's starting to blossom into the wonderful sweet girl she really is.
