Lou is a 6 year old neutered Bichon whose life hasn’t been so great. He spent the first six years with his very ill mother in Florida. He was never walked, never trained and never socialized with other dogs. His entire life was spent cooped up in a small, humid apartment. When his mother went on an organ transplant list, her doctor told her she had to get rid of her dog or he might make her sick (!). Last I checked having a dog actually kept people healthier but her doctor obviously isn’t an animal person. She had Lou flown to LA to live with her brother and his wife and after a few weeks they relinquished him as they were worried he was “too much” for their very elderly dog. Lou is now with a foster home that consists of 2 German Shepherds, 1 Doberman, 1 old BIchon, 1 very crabby Dalmatian, 1 old Jindo. He loves being part of a pack, loves every dog he ever met and is good on leash. He’s a happy guy who gets to meet lots of people and is now well-socialized and perfectly housetrained and is crazy about his toys. He wrestles with the Doberman and the German Shepherds all day long. Lou is not a barker and has no separation anxiety. He’s just the perfect bichon boy looking for his forever home.
